Fire Prevention Week at Flat Rock Elementary

 

Highway Hunters

Dirty South Filmz is currently filming the movie Highway Hunters at a location nearby the station.  Flat Rock Bowen FD was invited to attend a filming session on Wednesday March 5th.  The crew needed to set a vehicle on fire for a scene in the movie and asked that Station 25 standby while the vehicle was burning and extinguish the fire once the scene was complete.  We would like to thank everyone involved in the filming of Highway Hunters for their hospitality (also for letting us play a little bit).

Flat Rock Elementary School Ground Breaking Ceremony

On January 29th, 2007 the Flat Rock Bowen VFD participated in the ground breaking ceremony for the upcoming Flat Rock Elementary School on Thompson Rd.  The school is scheduled to open August of 2008.  Below are some photographs taken during the ceremony.
